This is a joint project from our research group at Cinvestav-Mérida to explore some aspects of high-temperature superconductivity.

Some of the things we are interested are:

  • Polaronic effects on the electronic structure of cuprate superconductors.
  • Multiple component superconductivity.
  • X-Ray absorption in Cu and Fe based superconductors

A place to collect interesting math stuff without any particular structure. Much of the content here will be useful for many of my other projects.

Mainly we study superconductivity in these compounds via electronic properties and X-ray absorption, obtaining DOS and XANES spectra using ab-initio calculations

I've been interested in these topics for a while so I intend to delve further into them here. Along the way I will flesh out the focus of this project.

For starters I will look at classic and quantum cryptography. Then I plan to explore other topics.

This project aims at the local atomic structure determination of arsenic under different solution conditions, e.g, different pH or formal chemical valence. We use a combination of XAS and ab initio quantum chemistry calculations in order to postulate hydration structures around As clusters.

So far this project includes research in:

  • Brookite synthesys (brookite is a phase of TiO2)
  • Impregnation of brookite with gold via plasma.
  • Photocatalitic power comparison between anatasa (another TiO2 phase) and brookite.
